L’Audix D3 è un microfono dinamico a basso guadagno per strumenti destinato ad applicazioni ad elevato SPL, come cabinet per chitarra, ottoni e percussioni. Come tutti i microfoni della serie D Audix, il corpo è stato ottenuto da un blocco di alluminio, in cui è stato inserito un diaframma VLM (Very Low Mass) a bobina mobile. Inoltre, tutti i microfoni Audix della serie D utilizzano magneti AlNiCo.
